Coco was rescued in July 2025 after a report about four pitbulls trapped in a backyard breeding set-up. She had been forced to produce litter after litter, chained to a wall with no chance to rest or move freely. When we found her, her eyes were infected, her ribs were showing, and she cowered at any sudden movement. She had clearly been hit, threatened, and ignored for a very long time.

She was rescued alongside the father of the pups and two older youngsters. All were in poor condition, but Coco carried the quiet, worn-down look of a dog who had been pushed far past her limits. Yet underneath the fear, there’s a soft, fun-loving girl who only wants kindness. With a few good treats and a patch of grass to sunbathe in, she relaxes completely and soaks up every second of her new freedom. She asks for very little, just safety, patience, and gentle hands.
