Baan Maa was always meant to grow. One day we knew we would move to larger land and build the space the dogs truly deserved. A place with room to run, proper evening runs, and enough land to help far more animals than the ones in our care now.
The plan was to move later, once we were able to buy the extra plots beside it, so we could build everything in one go. The full dream has always been bigger than just a rescue. We want Baan Maa to become a community place. A small veterinary clinic where injured or sick animals can get help. A food pantry so no owner ever has to choose between feeding themselves or feeding their dog. A safe space for animals with nowhere else to go.

But life with street dogs has pushed the timeline forward faster than we expected.
We have had complaints about the dogs wandering into the neighbour’s field. She is planting trees and does not want dogs on her land. There is no fence on her side, and some of our dogs can clear our wall without even trying. We have also had people complaining when the dogs are simply walking past them on the road. Nothing bad has happened yet, but it is only a matter of time.
So instead of moving later, we have to move now.
The land we have is good. Quiet, open and more than twice the size of where we are now. It is only a five minute walk away and far safer for the dogs. But it sits low in the rice fields, so it needs raising. And it needs a proper fence so the wall-jumpers stay secure. If we can raise and fence it, we can move the dogs safely before the end of the year.
It is not the full dream yet. The extra land is still for sale, and one day we hope to grow into five rai. That is when the clinic, the food pantry and the full sanctuary will become real. But for now, the most important thing is giving our dogs a safe space to live, rest and run free.

Your donation helps us:
Raise the land so it does not flood
Put a safe fence around the entire area
Build shelters, shaded areas and raised platforms
Keep the dogs safe from neighbours, roads and danger
Give the pack room to run and rest without fear
This move means everything. It means safety. It means peace. It means the start of something better for every dog in our care.
If you can help in any way at all, we would be so grateful.
