Rambo came to us in July 2025 after a call about four pitbulls being kept in shocking conditions. He had been used as a stud in a backyard breeding set-up, chained to a wall with barely two feet of movement. When we found him, his eyes were sunken and infected, his ribs were sharp against his skin, and he was standing in his own waste. He was close to giving up. Yet even then, he wagged his tail.

Alongside him were the mother of the pups and two older youngsters from the same litter. All were underweight, but Rambo was by far the worst. Despite everything he’s been through, he’s gentle, eager to learn, and breaks into full wiggles whenever he finds a new toy.
