A True Champion

Champ was one of the regulars on our local feeding run, always the first to come bounding over at dinner time, tail wagging and eyes bright. But one day, he didn’t run. He limped toward us, favouring his hind leg, and we could tell straight away that something was seriously wrong.
At the vet, X-rays revealed that his leg had dislocated from the hip and would need surgery. But when his blood tests came back, the news got worse. His levels were too low for the operation. Before we could fix his leg, we had to save his strength.
After two long weeks of care and good nutrition, Champ finally had surgery to remove the damaged part of his femur and began his long road to recovery. Months of physio followed, and he faced every step with determination.
Today, Champ is back to full health - strong, playful, and full of life. He’s now one of the most social dogs at Baan Maa, loved by everyone he meets. After everything he’s been through, his name couldn’t be more fitting; he’s a true champion.
